Iceland, a Nordic island nation, with dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal. It is a land of contradictions and surpriese. For example, it is dotted with Greenhouses there they grow tomatoes and bananas. In the summer is is light for most of the day, all 24 hours and in the winter it is dark for most of the day. However, the winter has a special feature and that includes a regular light show provided by the Northern Lights

We enjoy traveling a great deal and always have a camera or two where ever we may wander. At home Shirley enjoys her garden, cooking and turning photographs into art. Steve is an avid woodworker and had furnished our home with his beautiful works.
